
Educational, community group & special interest visits
At Heal Somerset, we welcome groups of all ages and interests for guided visits and activities. Your visit will be led by a member of our team or one of our trained volunteers, making sure it’s engaging, safe and memorable.
What can you do at Heal Somerset?
Every group is unique, so we tailor each visit to suit your objectives. ​Here are some of the activities you could enjoy during your visit:

Learn about rewilding: Take a guided walk around our 460-acre site to discover rewilding and see it in action

Survey species and habitats: Take part in reptile, bird or bat surveys, earthworm comparisons, moth trapping, camera trapping or 3x3 square studies

Contribute to rewilding: Help with activities such as willow planting or building leaky dams

Get creative with natural arts and crafts: Paint the landscape, go on scavenger hunts or explore textures with charcoal rubbings

Build outdoor skills: Learn fire-making or wildlife tracking techniques

Connect with nature: Enjoy mindful movement or sensory activities


Pricing
Educational and community groups:

Our Community Engagement Manager will work with you to create a meaningful and relevant, bespoke experience. 
​
​Activities may include: guided walks, hands-on wildlife surveys, creative workshops,
rewilding know-how, outdoor skills, and activities that bring you closer to nature.
Suitable for: schools, colleges, universities and any groups which are run to benefit the
public, their own members, improve their local neighbourhood, or run campaigns.

£4.50 per person for a 1-hour visit (minimum £90 per group)

£7.50 per person for a half-day visit (minimum £150 per group)

£12 per person for a full-day visit (minimum £240 per group)

Special interest & social groups:
​
Your visit will be led either by our CEO and founder, Jan Stannard, or our rewilding
ranger, Daniel Hill. You will learn more around the wider context of rewilding, including
the reasons we need it and the benefits it brings. You will hear about the rewilding
principles that Heal follows and gain an insight into some of our plans for the land.
Activities may include: a ‘rewilding in action’ tour, engaging presentations, hands-on
wildlife surveys, practical rewilding knowledge and immersive experiences that deepen
your connection with nature.
Suitable for: wildlife and nature groups, common-interest groups, social clubs and
friends or communities with shared passions.
Pricing for a two-hour visit (recommended):

£26 per person for a small group (up to 8 people) – minimum £180

£24 per person for a medium group (9–15 people) – minimum £240

£20 per person for a large group (16–25 people) – minimum £300

Corporate group visits:

Bring your team and join us for a hands-on nature conservation experience! Whether it’s land management, wildlife surveys, or site maintenance, we’ll tailor a volunteer day around your team’s goals - combining meaningful work with opportunities to reconnect with the natural world. Under-18s
We welcome groups with under-18s, from schools and colleges to home-schooling and family groups. For safety, all under-18s must be accompanied by a teacher, parent or guardian. Pupils eligible for free school meals will not be charged.
